Cramps after egg collection

Hi everyone, I had my first egg collection yesterday and got 9 eggs. I’ve had some mild discomfort up until this evening but I now have bad period like cramps. TMI but I did just try to go for a number 2 as I haven’t been yet since my procedure yesterday, I didn’t go but I noticed some brown blood in the toilet bowl which I guess is from the procedure and now I’m cramping. Could this be from straining to go do you think?
I am using progesterone pessaries.
It made me panic that my period might come before my potential fresh transfer on Saturday! I have no idea when I’m actually due on as I took northisterone for 10 days followed by 2 weeks of buserelin before I started stims.

@Firsttime2023 Its normal to have some discomfort for a day or two after, I was told to take the following day off of work also just in case and I was glad I did.
I can’t really comment on the bleeding as I only bled for a couple hours after and it was minimal but I’d assume that was normal? But don’t quote me on that. As for going to the toilet, I don’t think I went for a week after, my body just wouldn’t let me and funny enough the day the clinic prescribed me some laxatives I didn’t end up actually needing to use them😂

Hope you get and answer on the bleeding side of things x

Cramps are normal especially with bowel movements! Everything is going to feel very sore for a week or so, you’re good. Day two after EC is the worst so load up on Paracetamol

Oh thank you both that’s reassuring. The clinic didn’t mention anything about being constipated and tbh I hadn’t even thought about it until this evening! I thought the blood had stopped as hadn’t had any all day but it was only a small amount so I am sure it’s fine.
Thank you, I just panicked thinking my period was going to start and my transfer would be cancelled (assuming my embryos make it that far 🤞🏼) x

Yeah it’s common after anaesthesia to struggle with bowel movements, took me a few days as well so it’s a good sign you went!! Don’t worry about any of the minor symptoms, just remember your ovaries were in overdrive for the past week or two, growing x time more eggs than they’re supposed to, they’ll be enlarged and inflamed and it’ll take some time for them to calm down. Honestly day two is apparently the worst, but it took me a good week after the EC for all the discomfort and bloating and sharp pains to go away. If you’re really worried about something do call the clinic, they’re better off knowing than not knowing!

As others have said it’s normal to be sore for a day or two as everything was messed about with. My clinic tells patients to wear a panty liner home due to potential spotting afterwards.

TMI but i had an orgasm a few days after my last egg collection and it really hurt and I had painful cramps after.
