IVF transfer two week wait!

Anyone just started or due to start the two week wait in a couple of days?
I have my transfer booked for Wednesday providing everything is okay with my bloods 🤞!

Hey @Peonies94 I should also be having my transfer on Wednesday, I have to have a scan first to check everything looks okay and so long as we have a blast on day 5 (we currently have 7 progressing in the incubator) how are you feeling? Is this your first transfer? X

@pastelheart this is my first transfer! We did freeze all so have some in the freezer, so if my bloods are okay we’ll go ahead! Yes first time, what about you?
mum so nervous! Trying hard to keep myself sane! Every wait has been tough! Waiting to hear if you got blasts, waiting for transfer and then still have 2WW to go!

@Peonies94how did you find your ivf cycle? Yes completely agree, it’s so much waiting! Never ending waiting

yes first transfer and ivf cycle for us too.

that was our day 3 update, so will find out final results tomorrow. My transfer is at 2pm, what time is yours?

I do feel excited but also nervous as will obvs hear our day 5 news and scan to check if we can deff do the fresh transfer. So I have no idea how tomorrow will go x

@pastelheart ahh okay my clinic did day 5 update only! Was horrible waiting to hear!
how many did you start with?

transfer 10am and all okay with bloods so all ready to go ahead now! 🤞

@Peonies94my clinic doesn’t normally give day 3 update but I asked for it very nicely and they were happy to give me an update… I think they felt bad for me as I had a terrible egg collection!

we retrieved 17 eggs, 15 were mature and 7 fertilised 🙂

@pastelheart all done! It was apparently tricky but seemed to go okay! Think my bladder was a bit too full but they were a little behind, otherwise all okay!

yes I have spoken to them, we have a high grade embryo to transfer today and other high grades to freeze. I have to go in at 1pm so they can scan me first to check everything’s okay 🙂 will update as soon as I’m home feeling a bit nervous now x

well good news all around, embryos were all fantastic for day 5 and we got our fresh transfer!

the free fluid had resolved by itself (I have been nailing the electrolytes lol) so transfer went ahead and I can’t believe it as I didn’t let myself think it would be happening. X

@pastelheart i felt exactly the same, didn’t allow myself to fully believe it was happening after all previous disappointments! Good luck and I’m glad it all went ahead! How many blasts do you have in the freezer now? It’s great to have some backups isn’t it! Hopefully I won’t need them but it’s good to know they’re there!

My embryo was a 4aa when freezing and they said it survived well on defrost and didn’t seem to lose many cells and had started to hatch!

@Peonies94we definitely have two in the freezer but they are watching the rest until tomorrow so will have a final update then 🙂 have you got anymore embryos frozen? Glad yours defrosted well!

are you having any tummy cramps after your transfer? I am having mild ones but not sure if it’s just from the progesterone or what x

@pastelheart yesh we’ve got a few in the freezer at various grades! Some good some average! One is a day 6!

yes I’m having little twinges/pulling! I’m sure it’s way too soon for it to mean anything but I’m definitely feeling it!
Will you be testing early? I’m awful for it but I also find it helps me break the news to myself gently if negative! I’ll probably start testing from Sunday or maybe Monday but will help me to gear myself for what’s to come! I’d also rather know if it’s a chemical as well! Will probably test every other day and then if I get a few negatives I’ll wait for test day to just confirm! If positive I’ll monitor line progression 🤞

im so bloated today, I wasn’t this bloated before egg collection or before transfer really. Luckily I am off work today

no I will be waiting for official test day, honestly, the thought of doing a test makes me feel physically sick. I haven’t done one in over 3 years and if I could get away with not doing one now I would lol 😂 xx

@pastelheart I feel a bit icky and drained this morning! Feeling a little few twinges etc!

I feel the same about testing but also feel the same about not! I also haven’t done one for about 3.5 years, but feel like it’ll hopefully ease me a little bit towards disappointment more instead of on test day! They also want bloods which I think is just cruel if negative!

im okay no symptoms at all so worried that’s a bad thing! Honestly feel so down about it! I know it’s super early but just feel like it hasn’t worked now! How are you doing?

I tested this morning and although early, I think that’s it, obviously will continue injections etc and continue to test, but think this time isn’t going to be! I guess at least I can start to get used to the idea!

Thank you! I’m okay, still testing negative and still sure the cycle is unsuccessful but will continue everything for now! My official test is on Saturday so a little while away! Just sure I’d have a squint of a line by now!
