AMH gone from 10 to 30 in two years

I’m worried the result is wrong. Thought I had low AMH, it was 10 in 2023 when I was 31. Under a Tommys clinic (for recurrent loss, but I also have fertility issues) and at the time they said they were a bit surprised as I have PCOS and 10 was a bit low.

It’s the same clinic who have redone it, and the result is over 30. Since the last test I’ve had a couple of chemical pregnancies but nothing else to note. I’ve been on Metformin for years now.

I am under gynae elsewhere for suspected endo, and I had a small patch of adenomyosis identified by the Tommy’s clinic too. Waiting for a biopsy back from that and a follow up to discuss. Can’t see a way to talk to anyone about the AMH result until then, but feeling quite stressed.

Chat GPT just tells me the assay might have changed. The change sees significant. Does anyone have experience of this? How likely is the test to be wrong?

Hi, I have no experience of this but have you been taking supplements around the time of the blood test like Biotin/Vitamin B7 as I believe it can skew the results?

Maybe u didnt have pcos b4 but do now

Maybe vit d is good / not deficient

.maybe get it tested once more to check

My ivf consultant said results are ' valid ' for 18 months tho

I take some supplements, ubiquinol, omega 3, folic acid, vitamin d (level came back at 70 I think a couple months ago), Angus cactus. On the day of the test I hadn’t taken any of those.

I was diagnosed with the PCOS in 2018 and have been on the Metformin since then. My cycles have been more regular albeit still variable since. And my ovaries don’t look as obviously polycystic these days.

Seems like this is a weird situation!
