6dp5dt - Gut feeling of failure

I had my fresh transfer on the 30th August at 2pm. I stupidly tested at 5am on the 5th September so I supposed it’s classed as 6dp5dt but it was 8 hours prior so is that still classed as 5dp5dt? Either way it was negative 😭 no possible second line.

I’ve seen so many posts about how some people get a line from 4 days so now I’ve convinced myself I’m out. My OTD is Wednesday and I’m now too scared to do a test as I feel like in my gut I already know the answer 😔

I have no advice re possibility of early testing being too early or not, just to say I veered between thinking it had definitely worked to thinking it had definitely not. And it all just messes with your head. If you can now wait until Tuesday or Wednesday at least you will have a reliable answer. I know how hard the waiting is. I’m very fortunate that on one occasion it turned out to be worth it for me. Wishing you luck.

It's really hard OP, I know it's possible to test too early and get a negative that may change, unfortunately the only thing you can do is wait until OTD and see what your answer is then. The waiting is unbearable, I've done 2 FETs this year so really empathise with how hard it is!

I got a negative at 6DP5DT, fully negative on a FRER, and a BFP the next morning, faint, but there. And he’s currently asleep in the cot. I know it’s so difficult, the 2ww is brutal, but please don’t think you’re out ❤️

@Orangewillow I am waiting until test day now. I’ve got my partner to hide the one remaining test so I can’t be tempted. I’ve kind of already mentally prepared myself that it’s failed and I’m already looking into next steps 😔 which will be a natural FET. I’m hoping my gut is wrong 🤞🏻

Some woman dont get a positive until 7 or 9dpt. With my now 3yr old son, I had a fresh 3 day transfer and I didnt get a positive that was barely noticeable until 9dp3dt which is equivalent to 7dp5dt , the line wasnt reasonably dark until 13dp3dt but at 14dp3dt my hcg was around 94. He will be 4yrs in Feb

Agree. This was my 7dp5dt, as you say, really faint, and this was dried!

@Miraclemuma03 unfortunately its definitely a negative as its now OTD and no positive. My follow up is booked and hoping for a frozen transfer next x

Sorry to hear that your transfer hasn’t worked Cornish, it’s a horrible feeling.
Take extra good care of yourself right now and hoping that when the time is right you will proceed with a FET and have a better outcome.

Aw I’m sorry, it’s an awful feeling I know. Rest up mentally, do things that bring you joy and good luck for the FET when you’re ready, sending hugs x
