FET cancelled again 😞

twice now my frozen embryo transfers have been cancelled due too the same thing happening both times. has this happened to anyone else?

So sorry that your FET had to be cancelled. I’m sure that was very upsetting. I’ve had a few transfers now so I know the emotions that are involved in getting ready for it. What was the reason they were cancelled?

TSHconfusion Im finding it more frustrating then anything but both times iv had a big follicle ready to ovulate and my uterine lining was too thin aswell.

I’m sorry to hear that’s happened. What has your protocol been for those two? Hopefully they will be able to change it to suit your body. I’ve heard a lot of people have success with acupuncture for thickening lining, didn’t make a difference for mine I don’t think thiugh

I was put on elleste solo 2mg tablets 3 times a day for ten days then I was told yesterday to double up on them so six a day for one day then I was told today that it won’t go ahead so iv stopped taking them now. Iv never had acupuncture but iv heard mixed reviews about it.

Hey @Krystalrose55 sorry you're in this position, I had a FET cancelled in January for the same reason.

In the next attempt, I started on a higher dose of oestrogen (tablets, pessaries and patches) from the very start of my cycle and that stopped follicles from growing. However, my lining didn't grow very well and they thought I didn't respond that well to artificial oestrogen. My lining did get to an acceptable level though and that FET did go ahead, unfortunately it didn't work out.

I then had a hysteroscopy to remove scar tissue that they thought could be a factor in my lining not growing so well, but for mt next FET attempt I did IVF stims to grow my follicles and my lining went a lot better from my own oestrogen, and that FET worked.

For most people, a higher does of oestrogen seems to do the trick (I read a lot of reddit and mumsnet posts from people who'd experience similar!)

Hi Orangewillow I’m sorry that your first FET didn’t work out but it’s brilliant that’s your second one worked out after your operation that got to have been a hell of alot to go through. One of the nurses called me and iv got to have a meeting with the doctor next week to discuss next steps but I might be having injections I just hope that doesn’t fail like the pills.

Good luck! It's so shit having FETs cancelled but there's lots of things they can tweak, and sometimes linings play ball more than other times some reason!

Thank you Orangewillow. it is really shit to keep on having cancelled FETs and hopefully none of my follicles choose that time to ovulate either next time I will get there one day.
