Low dosage aspirin

I've had 2 early MC from 2 transfers so far and I've heard people taking low dosage aspirin, can anyone share their experience with it? I spoke to my consultant about it last week and she wasn't really for or against it and basically said if I wanted to take it on my next transfer I could! Little in limbo!

Hey 👋🏼

I took it during a break from ivf after 2 miscarriages also and conceived naturally jusf before our 3rd transfer! I’m now 15 weeks pregnant and still taking it. Not sure if the success was down to that but it’s the first cycle I ever done it on.

wishing you all the best of luck x

Congratulations @Happydays54321 !
At what point in your cycle did you start taking it? X

I wasn’t really tracking on that cycle but it was around 4dpo I believe so just took it when I thought I was roughly around that time . Good luck 🤞🏼 and thank you x

We’ve had a few early losses and have been put on steroids, baby aspirin and blood thinners. My immunologist doesn’t think blood thinners are necessary but I decided to take everything to see if any of it helped. Currently our fifth round has been successful. You take aspirin before the transfer, then you stop and start taking it again upon a positive test.
I think steroids probably help quite a lot in case there’s any inflammation in the body. Would you seek another opinion as most doctors would start you off on at least baby aspirin if you have had a couple of losses.

I was prescribed baby aspirin to take during IVF from before the transfer until I had a negative result OR until I was 16 weeks pregnant. It’s said to help
blood flow to the uterus and help increase your chances. I don’t know if it actually works but it didn’t hurt to try it. It’s such a low dose that it doesn’t take any pain away, I had a raging headache and it didn’t even touch it. Good luck 🍀

@FrostedFlake thank you for that and congratulations! My consultant didn't really give me an answer but I think I'm going to try it!

@Kaybee1989 thanks for replying! Can you remember how long before transfer? I have irregular cycles so I I won't know when I'm starting until the day!
