Thinking ahead - could anyone share their experience of London clinics and how long they were closed for around Christmas and if it stopped you doing a transfer cycle? Thanks!

Hiya , the clinic I am speaking to they have said they would need to do a collection mid dec in order to have the embryologists all done the week before Christmas as it’s the shut the whole end of dec (Christmas week and after between new year) so it pressure on my cycles to start on time as if too late then it would fall in the cut off zone and mean waiting another month. However I would check with specific clinics as they may operate differently

Yes mine closed Christmas to early Jan and so had cut off dates for when cycles had to be started to be done in time, and they need to be cautious in case it takes longer than expected. I completed my 2nd egg collection at the end of October and before transfer needed to do some other tests, and have a short breather, so because of the closure we ended up waiting till January to start

Yeh that’s what I’m worried about as had so many delays and failed transfers already! Do you mind sharing which clinic you’re at?
