FET trigger nightmare

I’m having a pretty horrendous day.
I travelled 12hrs to my clinic to get my day 10 scan where they told me I was ready for my trigger shot that I should of taken tonight and then I would transfer on Tuesday (natural FET) I drove the 12 hours home (live rural North Scotland) and when I took the trigger out the plunger pulled all the way out and I lost all the medication. I phoned the clinic and they said that I can still carry on with this cycle but I’ll have to test for LH surge myself. Due to where I live I can’t get ovulation strips easily (kicking myself that I’ve been in the city today and could have got some) but my husband has found ovulation strips that are 3 years out of date. Should I use them? I’ve ordered a clear blue kit but not due to arrive till Sat.
Sorry for the ramble, I’m just pretty exhausted and broken.

@rosylouise I'm so sorry to hear the absolute nightmare you've had. Utterly stressful especially at this stage. You might as well use the old ones, also check for cervical mucus and temp increase to see if you're about to ovulate. I'm guessing as clinic gave you the go ahead then ovulation hadn't already occurred so you may be fine. Equally, it might be too late by Sat and as you know, this is the risk with a natural cycle, or it might be fine. Sorry, not much help but saw your post and I feel for you. You're so close and the bright side is all was good for trigger. Ffs. Sending every hope your way.
