Kind IVF experiences

Hi,

I have my first consultation appointment with Kind IVF in Darlington on Tuesday - this is a scan, dr consult and nurse planning appointment in one go.

Just wondering if anyone has been through IVF with Kind and is able to shed any light on the process after your initial appointment? I am using donor sperm through London Sperm Bank, who I believe are partnered with Kind. I’m really keen to start on my September cycle but not sure if that will be achievable or not.

I’ve seen (online) that they seem to prescribe birth control pre cycle to some women. Is this for everyone or only in specific circumstances? Perhaps a way to control the start of the cycle?

Thanks in advance for any insight! I had a previous cycle through ABC in Leeds, who I don’t recommend for a whole host of reasons but found these posts invaluable.

Hi,

I am currently undergoing IVF at LWC Darlington but not using kind as we are doing PGTa testing. I am also using donor sperm.

We had our initial consultation in June and I started the contraceptive pill with the start of my cycle in July to time me for stims and egg collection in August.

I think they use birth control for everybody as they only do retrievals the middle 2 weeks of the month so they want to control when your cycle starts.

If you have your initial appointment this week I would guess you could start your treatment in October. Bear in mind you will need time to arrange donor sperm and have your counselling sessions etc too.

Hope that helps and good luck

Thank you so much for replying.

I had my consult yesterday and it went well although my follicle count of 9 is on the low side for my age.

They’ve managed to book me in for my September cycle so starting noristherone on Monday, EC scheduled for 19th Sept. Donor sperm ordered. They didn’t say I need to do counselling but it may be because I already have a child conceived from the same donor…?

Have you had your EC yet? Best of luck if so! I did PGTA testing on my last round with Create. I had a day 3 transfer with my now son so he was untested. Had a euploid frozen blast transferred but that was unsuccessful, hence new round.
