FET on natural cycle - did I mess up?

Hi natural FET cyclers. My third FET failed and I'm worried that I - together with my clinic - messed up with the timeline. They told me to track ovulation and 6 days after a positive they do the transfer. I calculated the positive on 31st July (when the test line matches the control line in colour) and i provided this progression pic to them so they went ahead with scheduling the FET 6 days later. BUT I have little faith in the clinic as its all a mess there.

The transfer failed and before I head into another/my last, I want to be certain we have the dates right.

Was I right or wrong with tracking? As mentioned, I have to be SO on top of this because the clinic have done a few things to make me lose faith.

Bit of background : I have regular cycles and the only issue is MFI. Transferring 5-day blasts.

TYIA!

I’m so sorry your FET failed. It’s so difficult.

I am really not an expert on natural FETS but did have a modified natural FET. A few things to consider .. were your clinic also checking you for ovulation?

To give you context of a comparison clinic, my clinic watched me very closely with daily scans and blood tests in the few days lead up to ovulation. The blood tests tested for the LH surge and my hormones so they knew when I would ovulate. I NEVER get positives on at home ovulation strips and never have done so although my clinic did tell me to do them at home I could never have replied on them.

When the clinic told me I had an LH surge I then needed to trigger to ensure that I had deffo ovulated and go into the clinic the next day for a scan to check I had ovulated. As it happened I hadn’t ovulated by the next day so had to go in the day after that, where they confirmed that yes I had ovulated. I believe it takes about 36 hours for ovulation to happen after the LH surge

Once they confirmed ovulation that is when I started progesterone to lead up to the transfer.

I are you planning a natural FET again ?

Thanks so much for this @Mrsplants . Your experience sounds totally different. All my clinic did is scan me after the home ovulation sticks to confirm that I had ovulated (which I had) and then proceeded with transfer. Not sure if this is because I have very regular cycles or because they are rubbish. I can tell from my symptoms alone that I ovulate every month (years of ttc to thank for that).

But I have to chase them for everything; for the transfer before this one (which was successful but ended in MMC), I had to text my consultant the morning of to confirm it was happening as I'd had no communication from them. If it wasn't so difficult to move my last remaining embryos and go elsehere, I would! Hoping to try again in a couple of weeks time 🤞🤞

Sending love to everyone going through a fertility journey. It SUCKS.
