I'm on the waiting list for IVF but it's taking forever and as I'm 40 time is running out. I live in Ireland (north) and I was going to try IVF private while waiting but I'm scared it'll take me off the NHS waiting list... I have re searched it and some sites say it will remove me from the NHS waiting list for IVF and others say it won't. I really don't know what to do

I don’t have the number as I didn’t know about it when I was going through my NHS process but I think it should pop up on Google.

If you have had an appt Grove road first consultation then it shouldn't take that long for treatment to begin 4 months max? i had started private consultation with tfp then got nhs call sadly had failed transplant and no spare embryos so had go private where thankfully now have a 6 month old im 38. If i were u id wait for nhs as you have good amh you'll prob get good number of eggs retrieved and fingers crossed embryos to freeze with nhs now changed each transfer is free until you run out of embryos or have a baby.

As id no frozen embryos I had to then go private.
