whats the earliest day i can test on with a 2 day embryo transfer?

i am 6dpt

I was told 10 days for my 5 day transfer, I thought they were being on the cautious side and there may still be something to see earlier- so tested after 9 days, it was negative and I was heartbroken. Did another test one day later when the clinic had advised to and it was positive, which I’m obviously delighted with but regret putting myself through the stress I caused myself by testing early. I’m sure others will have different stories where theirs showed something really early, but just a little cautionary tale that you might regret the range of emotions for a false result. And if you can’t take the wait anymore and test early and it’s negative- don’t give up hope!

Also- had a friend that tested before the date the clinic gave with a high sensitivity Clear Blue and it picked up the residual hormones from the trigger injection and gave a false positive. Be careful with it and wishing you the very best of luck!!

Thank you for your reply, hopefully i will have a sticky bean! Please keep me in your prayers, last year i had no blastocysts so transfer was cancelled. This year only 1 embryo so it was transferred on day 2 as i requested incase its gone by day 5, hopefully its still in there somewhere trying to implant itself! X

You will have to wait to atleast 9dpt . With a 5dt it can be up to 7dpt before a positive test is detected. Because yours is only day 2 it still has 3 to 4 more days to become a 5 to 6 day blast and then can take another 2 to 3 more days for implantation to occur and then 24 to 48hrs after implantation attemp for hcg hormone to be released through the urine to be detectable enough for a hpt.

I also had only one 2day embryo.. tested yesterday afternoon at 9dpt and got a negative but trying to hold out hope as it was normal test not first response and was an afternoon pea so maybe diluted. Wish I hadn’t tested early now.. @Dylan8523 your story gave me hope though!

Nah it was negative, didnt get pregnant, failed, will try again
