Progynova during donor egg cycle

Hi, my husband and I are in the process of using an egg donor as we have exhausted all other routes. I had a scan on Friday to check the thickness of my lining which was perfect but they have detected a fibroid. I have already had 2 cancelled egg thaw cycles due to polyps and now this. I have never had a problem with polyps or fibroids before and the only connection I can see is that when I take the drug Progynova to thicken my lining, they appear! I am just wondering if anyone else has had the same issue? Our consultant says that Progynova does not cause polyps but they feed off the oestrogen.

Thanks in advance!

Hi OP, I know they say Progynova doesn't cause polyps but I also had a similar experience. My first polyp was detected after a failed transfer for which I was on Progynova. Subsequently I chose to have natural modified cycles to reduce the risk of polyps. Unfortunately, I kept getting recurrent polyps. So really don't know what to make of it. Wishing you all the best.

I have fallen down a rabbit hole of searching for reasons for polyps/fibroids on Progynova and just keeps saying they feed on estrogen. It's one of life's great mysteries I guess. Take care.
