Time between fertilisation and embryo transfer: IVF

Yesterday it was confirmed that I have frozen embryos (poor quality but i want to give them a go) and I am currently waiting for the PGT testing results.
My last period started on the 4th July and I have done IVF in this cycle.
My next period is due 31st July, and the one after that is 27th August.
My doctor has said that she wants me to wait until the 27th August cycle to implant (if all goes well with the PGT results).
However, I would prefer to do it through 31st July as I really don't want to wait longer.
Is there a reason why she wants me to have one "normal" cycle rather than trying to implant next week?
How long have people usually waited from egg retrieval to frozen embryo transfer?
Thank you for any help.

My IVF timing was exactly the same. Egg retrieval, fertilization and then had a whole cycle, and when my next period came we started the transfer preparation. If I remember correctly it was to make sure my ovaries had gone back to normal size and to check the womb etc. it goes fast and I think my cycle was shorter due to the injection before the egg retrieval. I kept telling myself, you’ve waited this long and you’ve come so far, don’t rush it and possibly ruin it for the sake of 28 days. Easier said than done, I know! Good luck for your transfer whenever you do have it 💓
