Hello,
I am going through my first cycle of IVF.
18 eggs were collected, 14 mature, 12 fertilised.
On day 3 there were 9 embryos that were between 6 and 10 cells.
It is day 5 now and my doctor rang me today and said that the embryos are still growing and 2-3 are early blasts. He said I will hear back tomorrow.
This doesn't look great does it?
Has anyone got any positive stories of something similar happening which resulted in a pregnancy?

Most of my embryos only reached blastocyst stage on day 6. I'm currently 26 weeks pregnant with a day 6 embryo.

Fingers crossed for good news tomorrow!

How did you get on? Hoping you got your blastocysts

Coffeechocolatebooks123 · 27/07/2025 16:35

I ended up with 4 getting to blastocyst... unfortunately only 1 which was good quality (5ab) the others are 3bc, and 2 x 4cc.
I have frozen them all and am having a PGT done on the 5ab and 3bc.
Hopefully all is ok but getting myself prepared for bad news.

Aww that’s great! I only managed to get one blastocyst so you’re in a better position than I am. Wishing you all the best with it!

Nothing on day 5 and ended up with three frozen on day 6. Implanted two and 23 weeks with one of those and one still in the freezer (not great quality)

Did you get PGT testing done?
