Just had my bloods, waiting for results. Nurse has worried me saying it’s to confirm pregnancy? I assumed a positive urine test would be enough for this?

For our clinic here in Australia, they do not accept a hpt as a definitive answer, a beta test is the only way to confirm. Each clinic is different for where they like to see your hcg levels. Ours is anything over 100 at 14dp5dt im pretty sure.

@PlanBFertility my clinic also only accepted a blood test. Mine was 817 on day 12. You can check on chat gpt but I think this means you’re very pregnant ☺️

Did your clinic not explain to you? That’s really bad form not to explain?

This is great!! I had my beta at 14dp5dt and it was 1695. I’ll attach the info they gave me, it’s in Spanish but I’m sure you can understand it. ‘Semanas = Weeks’ The ranges are huge. For 2-3weeks it’s anywhere between 101- 4870… 😳 The best of luck for a healthy happy pregnancy! 💕

The levels vary so much but that’s a good solid result ☺️ Are they repeating them? I think normally they repeat them after 48hrs and if they’ve gone up (I think doubled) then that’s a good sign that things are progressing well.

My clinic don’t do betas as standard so don’t have my own numbers to compare (but I’m the same dpt as you I remember you from another post! Got my bfp yesterday🤞)

@PlanBFertility my clinic did mention that ( should we get to the stage of transfer) they would call me back for bloods aswell to confirm a pregnancy or not . I also thought this was a bit odd as at my last clinic they just told me take a test and if positive they'll schedule a scan at 7 weeks so I wouldn't worry
