Just spent the morning pretending to be a pharmacist and sorting out all mine, have added some more into the mix. So as of now this is what I’m taking (the CoQ10 and Omega 3 are new). I’d love to hear what you’re all taking?

I have a slightly lower than average ovarian reserve - amh and afc both 11. So am keen to get my egg quality the best it can be!

Magnesium 300mg (240mg mag glycinate from 2x pills + 60mg in prenatal)
Vitamin D 2400iu (2000iu vit d3 pill + 400iu in prenatal)
CoQ10 600mg (2x 300mg ubiquinone pills)
Omega 3 1.6g inc 524mg EPA and 375mg DHA (2x 800mg pills)
Prenatal inc 200ug folic acid and 200ug folate (1x pill) - also inc a host of others inc C/Bs/E/iron/zinc/selenium

Am I missing anything?

My clinic partnered up with their pharmacy and created what they call a fertility compound called, female fertility booster forte, its a capsule full of powder and has everything one needs for egg quality and pre conception apparently. Its got things like coq10 300mg , dhea 75mg, melatonin 4mg, folic acid 400microg, folinic acid 400mcg, iodine 150microg. just one capsule each night with my original medications. Cost me $200 for a 3 month supply. Il find out in a couple weeks if they work lol

@magpie234 it would be worth adding Vit D and also I added Optibac intimate women’s flora into the mix as well as it’s good for cutting doing inflammation etc

I was recommended -
Ovum fertility supplement
Vitamin D
COQ10

Current clinic only advised DHEA 25mg once a day for the month leading up to stims and then stopping. (previous had me on 75mg throughout)

@PlanBFertility Thanks! Ovum looks great so I might swap to that. How much extra CoQ10 and vitamin D did you take on top please? I can see both are included in the Ovum already.

Looking into DHEA but that has never been mentioned by my clinic.

My clinic advised the following:

I’m 37, husband is 41

Our referal was based on male factor. 0% morphology, all sperm had tapered heads.

He is taking:
Proxeed Plus powder in a smoothie twice a day.
Proceive Omega 3 Fish Oil (2000mg)

I’m taking:
Proceive Max Woman powder once a day in a smoothie.
Proceive Omega 3 Fish Oil (2000mg)
400mg CoQ10
2000IU Vitamin D3
Boots Bump and Beyond

When we had our screening tests my Vitamin D and Folate were within the normal range, but the consultant advised to take 2000IU D3 for 2 months, then swap to 1000IU even though it’s in some of the other supplements as research suggests women with high Vitamin D levels have a high IVF success rate.

VitaminD:
Procieve Max Women contains 20 µg (800 IU). Boots Bump & Beyond has 10 µg (400 IU. I’m adding 2000 IU extra. That totals 3200 IU daily, the safe upper limit is 4000 IU/day for adults), it’s close so make sure it’s not in anything else you’re taking!

Folate:
Procieve Max Women: 400 µg folate
Boots Bump & Beyond: 400 µg folic acid
Totals 800 µg which is below the 1000 µg upper limit, so again close but fine as long as it’s not in anything else.

We’ve also mostly given up alcohol, 1-2 drinks at a few hens and wedding over the past 6 months and have been trying to follow the Zoe cook book (30 different vegetables and fruits a week) as well as go for a 40 min walk a day.

The healthy eating has got a bit boring lately so there have been a lot of meals out, but both our BMIs are healthy range so we’re just doing it when we eat at home and cook. I have an apple, raspberries, blue berries and strawberries with yoghurt and muesli every morning. I also eat add a few walnuts and whole almonds so if the rest of the day ends in hulahoops or pasta with a tonne of cheese I’m trying not to feel guilty.
My husband is also not going in the hot-tub, keeping the cat and laptop off his lap and he has taken to wearing PJ bottoms with no pants when working from home. This was mostly to appease my nagging but his morphology has jumped from 0% July 2024 to 4% in October 2024, the test the clinic did the week before my egg retrieval in July 2025 was 7%!! All other parameters have been in range throughout, so that was all he needed to resolve.

It could be the supplements, cooler crotch or both. We were set up for Zymot and ICSI, but were advised to do standard IVF on the basis of his results the week before, so something worked there! They retrieved 7 mature eggs and all of them fertilised via IVF.
