Did anyone here take Doxycycline during or just before their IVF cycle? If so, at what dose please?
With my previous successful IVF cycle for DS, I took Doxycycline for over 3 weeks beforehand for an unrelated infection but at only 100 mg a day. I’ve since read that in the USA 100 mg twice a day for 2 weeks is the standard dose that patients often take during IVF - and I’m wondering if my incidentally taking the doxycycline (albeit at a lower dose but for longer) was the reason I was finally successful last time!
But trying the double dose instead this time is making me feel horribly nauseous, so I’m wondering if I can cut back to 100 mg like last time. But unfortunately unlike the last time I don’t have over 3 weeks to take the lower dose (only 18 days 😢) before I start the Oestrogen for this cycle.
Any advice please? I’m taking the doxycycline off my own back (albeit with my doctors full knowledge) but I realise it’s not a standard thing to do in the UK, so my UK docs have no experience of it.
