Progesterone suppositories and going to the loo

Sorry TMI topic. Taking progesterone rectally as advised, I think they say if you need to open your bowels within an hour to do another.. I’m really trying to time them so I do it after I’ve been to the loo but inevitably even if I need to pee within the hour some of the white fat comes out! I really don’t want to do vaginally because I’ve had pessaries cause irritation/pain before. I also read they melt within 15-20 minutes but I’m not sure how much is actually absorbed?
Does anyone have any advice or knowledge on this. Is it actually ok if some comes out after an hour?

Hi there,

I don’t know for sure but I do think that you’re correct - majority of it is absorbed and the white stuff will always come out as that’s the animal wax or whatever it is that holds it together. So I wouldn’t worry too much. I did mine vaginally and the white stuff was always in my underwear everyday so I had to use pads. It sounds like you’re doing it right!

@1Birdsong there will always be a certain amount from the casing that will come away and you will notice it when you go to the loo or take off your underwear. It does take awhile to get used to them x
