Waiting list for Hysteroscooy

Hello

This is a long shot but wondered if anyone has had a hysteroscopy/polyp removal on the nhs in Suffolk recently and could give any indication of waiting time?

We have been accepted for nhs ivf treatment but I now have a suspected polyp that needs removal before I can start treatment but my funding runs out in Feb 2026 as I will be over the age limit.

Im really concerned the waiting list will be too long. Would they move me up the list based on how little time I have?

any advice/past experiences appreciated.

@Norfolk1983 call up the gynaecology dept in question and ask them what the waiting times are looking like (as these really vary)/ see if there are any short notice cancellations.

Thank you. I emailed them yesterday and they said 6-8 weeks. Currently getting quotes and waiting times from private clinics to keep all options open - the cost seems the vary quite a bit…
