Recommend me a clinic that will use my eggs (age 44)

We have 1 child conceived naturally but due to cancer treatment will need IVF if we want to try for another.

Can anyone suggest a clinic (we are London) that will be realistic about using my own eggs (I recently turned 44, good amh and no fertility issues myself).

Would really welcome any experiences. Thanks!

Hi OP, sorry to hear about cancer history in your family and fertility struggle.
I don’t have experience with the UK clinics as living abroad now, but thought will share some of the EU ones.
I am 43, did 3 EC cycles when was 41, also have high AMH and count, all hormones fine and 2 naturally concieved kids, older, so didn’t think will struggle… We had 4 chemical pregnancies before trying IVF. Tested 10 good quality embryos but all uneuploid. Had more mmc naturally in between too. So in my case though on paper numbers are great and no problem conceiving, no quality.
I had consultations with a number of clinics in Portugal, Spain, Greece and Czech Republic. Some refused to continue with OE, a few were fine given my high AMH and numbers. Peague Fertility Centre was really helpful and explained what they will try new/change protocol with my OE, same clinics in Greece.
We have decided to move to DE as no mental ability to cope with more mc, so haven’t tried them. Now we are with New Life in Greece but for DE cycle.
At our age it is a lottery but I read that still possible, especially if good hormone levels and mental capacity.
Good luck 🍀

Thank you both. How did you manage semen collection overseas - did you have donor sperm that you sent over there somehow/bought there/ partner travel as well?

@Mulledjuicewe use DH sperm, he traveled for 2 days to do blood tests and then sample freeze. Then he doesn’t need to travel at all, only me 😅
To use OE cycle you would need to go for a bit longer or also do support of local clinic scan/blood tests. For DE - only scan and blood tests initial and then for the FET cycle only for a couple of days before the transfer.

Thanks. Dp has sperm frozen which is what we have to use. He can't donate for 18 months.

(Unless we were to use DS as well)

I think you can ship the sample to the clinic in EU, but of course better to ask them.

Also if you would consider DE cycle too, I would recommend the clinic that offers both options and you are happy with. We did OE at one, but DE different country, so you start all tests again and it takes time… which we don’t really have

Nor us!

I am really not sold on DE especially as I'm already on the fence about trying for another. I would love another but my head says we should focus on the one we have.
