Hi everyone,
Ive been recommended IVF due to low AMH despite not really having tried to get pregnant too much naturally. I’ve done one cycle and have a little blastocyst waiting for me but am going to do another cycle or a few to try and maximise my chances of getting some more blastocysts in the freezer as I am currently 37, so feel I may as well while my eggs are the youngest they are ever going to be again.
I have been taking pregnacare conception for a few months now, but targeted ads are highlighting that not all supplements are created equal so I want to change but I can’t afford to be spending 39 quid a month on supplements at the minute. I am also wary of marketing and stuff and don’t want to be duped. But I am reading so much conflicting stuff online and feel like my head is going to explode trying to work out what I need and what mg I need of each one. I thought I had it covered and then I saw someone mention the three cs, which I don’t think I’ve covered! Some places recommend cod liver oil, others say definitely not.
I am currently taking a folic acid, vitamin d3 and generic conception supplement. I’ve ordered some coq10 also to add into the mix as I’ve read that’s good for my age too. And I’ve got my partner some supplements for men also.
We are at baseline very healthy and active, despite the odd packet of crisps or chocolate or sweets. We would eat junk food occasionally but have cut waaaay down on this as we just finished the last cycle a few weeks back. We have also cut out alcohol completely since before the last run. The recommended ivf diet is actually what I normally do eat with the exception of whole milk which I have added. I’ve also just increased how much foods like salmon etc I eat, but just some minor tweaks. I already get nuts, seeds, greek yoghurt and I eat lots of berries and leafy greens etc.
We are due to go again on 3rd July, so any tweaks or any advice would be much appreciated! I really want to give this second run my everything.
