First FET tomorrow

Hi

I'm having my first FET tomorrow. Not sure whether I am feeling nervous or excited or whether I want to run away.

Looking for others in a similar boat or with stories and tips to share.

Thanks

@JJB92sending you ❤️. I had a fresh transfer in January and just coming out of the end of TWW for my first FET. The process itself has been smooth, but the hardest part have been hormones from about day 4 onwards and have been a bit emotional. Be kind to yourself, drink lots of water and take some walks but don’t do anything too wild or don’t lift anything heavy.

Hi @JJB92

There’s a thread on here with loads of us who have had or going to have their FET in June. Thought you might like to know so you can join us as everyone on similar timelines.

Good luck with transfer. There is nothing to be nervous about, I promise its all over and done with in minutes, the longest part is the setting up. For the transfers that worked for me were the ones where I did a bit of walking and was active after the transfer. Keep your mind busy for the 2ww and dont stay seated or in bed the entire time. I did lots of reading, pottered out side with the animals and gardens, went for walks around the lake, did lots of library days with the kids, went out for food. On quiet days I caught up on a series or watched ivf documentaries and pottered around the house. Good blood flow I say is key. And also keeping busy helps the days go by faster and less thinking about whether it worked or not.

@confused2025 thank you! Being kind to yourself is very good advice that I definitely need. How did your FET go, or are you still waiting for the results?

Thanks @ItsAJourney , I'll go have a look there :) Would be happy to have some company.

@Miraclemuma03 thank you! I'm also planning to keep myself very busy during the 2ww, otherwise I'll probably drive myself insane. I like that you took the time to do some hobbies and things that fills your cup.

@JJB92its so important. Also, try to watch shows that will make you laugh and not cry. I have my beta tomorrow but from testing at home, it looks positive so I am hopeful everything will work out x

Miraclemuma03 · 10/06/2025 11:09

Yes I definitely did things for myself that I dont often get to do, its important to keep your mood up and stay positive the best way you can and doing things you enjoy is one way to feel relaxed while time passes by.

@confused2025 that's great! I'm holding thumbs that your beta results tomorrow will confirm a positive and that everything will be smooth after that.
