Meriofert

Hi everyone, I’m on my first IVF cycle and day 3 of stims with Meriofert 150 IU. So far no real symptoms (which is worrying me that maybe I’m not responding to them), except I’ve noticed slightly looser bowels each day since I started. Not really watery but loose (mainly after food). My clinic didn’t mention diarrhoea in the list of things to watch out for for OHSS and I was just wondering if anyone has any advice? Could this just be mild response to the hormones and nothing to worry about?

Hi OP. I just finished a cycle with Meriofert (slightly lower dose). I didn’t really have any physical symptoms anpart from having a bit of fatigue until day 8 or so when ovaries started to feel fuller. I wouldnt worry! The first few days I ddidnt feel any different at all.

Hi, I was on the same dose of Meriofert as you and a loose bowel was my main side effect. I mentioned it to my clinic and they said that it is normal, so I wouldn't worry. Mine only stopped after I finished Meriofert. Good luck with your cycle :)

Thank you all so much, that’s so reassuring. I start 3 days of Ovamex tomorrow and am worried about side effects from that as I’ll be taking that and the Meriofert both for a few days so grateful for any tips ❤️

No symptoms at a for me either. Stim process was straightforward and easy enough for me.

Thanks everyone. I have my final Ovamex in the morning and then a scan to check if the meds have worked. Only possible symptom I’ve felt in the past day or so is a strange feeling in abdomen and only feel it when standing and walking - hard to describe, not like period cramps but just uncomfortable. Did anyone have anything similar?

@NewhereN abdomen or pelvis? What type of pain? Dragging / heavy / sharp/ constant / occasional…
I had heavy discomfort and occasional sharp pain from trapped wind but it was pelvis.

Does anyone know if it’s a big deal if you don’t get your full dose one night of the meriofert? I noticed a space I thought was air at the end of the syringe while I was injecting so stopped at that point when I thought I had injected up to the liquid line, but once I took the needle out there was more liquid left, which I didn’t want to put in a second time. I had my first scan yesterday and they said I was responding well so I’m really worried I might have messed things up!
