Is day 6 after embryo transfer too early for the test?

I had 2 embryos transferred last Wednesday in the morning. The clinic asked me to test this Sunday (08/06). The waiting is killing me. So, I decided to test myself yesterday and it came out as negative. Has anyone tested negative earlier and got a positive result later?

Hey @NightingaleK I think it’s a little early. What day were your embryos (day 3 and day 5 will look different). Also the test you used may or may not be good for detection of early pregnancy.

Day 5 here and agree it’s torture. I’ve held off buying tests so I don’t feel tempted to test to early. Sending you 🍀for a BFP x

@confused2025 fingers crossed for you.
they were day 5 embryos and I unused clear blue early pregnancy test. Trying not to think negative now and wait till Sunday.

@NightingaleK I think that Clearblue aren’t that good for early pregnancy and need a higher HCG level - I think most people would recommend Early response (pink lid and on Amazon). Try to distract yourself until Sunday x

6dp 5dt is equivalent to 11DPO (days post ovulation) many people do get faint positives at this stage, especially on First response early result, they're the most sensitive

@ButterscotchBabe thanks I meant first response. I have major brain fog atm

NightingaleK · 04/06/2025 17:58

@ButterscotchBabe so you are saying that highly likely it is negative.

I got a verrrrrry faint BFP 7dp5dt with a single embryo. It’s horrible seeing people say they get BFP as early as day 4 or 5. Wishing you luck 🍀

I think it is about the right time that you may start to see a very faint positive. I tested around this time and saw the gradual line progression.
