Natural FET tips/advice

Hi,

I’m preparing to do a natural cycle FET in my next cycle (mid June). Clinic have said I am unable to do medicated due to getting migraines from estrogen when on combined pill previously. I have regular cycles which are mostly 26 days long, occasionally 25 or 27.

I’ve been googling and have now managed to work myself into a frenzy, paranoid that I’m going to miss the LH surge. Clinic have advised to buy the cheapest ovulation tests, “not the smiley face ones” and start testing on day 8. I’ve gathered that it’s advisable to test twice a day, and have purchased the pre-mom LH strips from Amazon. No idea when I ovulate so trying to do a practice run of tests in my current cycle (on day 9) to get my head around testing! Appreciate I won’t necessarily ovulate on the same day next cycle but I feel I need a dummy run.

Any tips/advice on what I can do to maximise chances of success? Would be lovely to hear from others in the same boat too. I have 1 DC from a fresh cycle so keeping my fingers crossed for a sibling from my last remaining embryo 🤞🏼

Good luck with your FET!

I did a fully natural cycle using those test strips. I went for a lining scan then they told me to test 2 times a day until i got a positive result - then called the clinic. FET booked in 6 days later, started progesterone cyclogest 4 days before the FET.

As long as your clinic are happy with your lining then all you can do is be as normal as possible! I know that's hard advice to give, but everyone is completely different. They'll give you advice afterwards on things to avoid, but really and truly once the FET is done its down to mother nature to take over✨
