Early blastocyst success stories?

Gutting IVF cycle with a day 5 transfer of ungraded, early blastocyst. They said if I don't transfer it, it will most likely be discarded on day 6.

Today, I learned the difference between early, expanding and hatching blastocysts.

Please stop by and share your success story with me to help me get through this two week wait.

We have a pgta normal that was a blastocysts at day 4
And is apparently top quality

@worldwidetravel2017 that isn't the same situation.

@Ovangegrove early blasts usually make it to full blast by day 6 - or even late on day 5. Why did they mention discarding - did it show signs of arrest or disintegration? Clinics will often do day 5 fresh transfers regardless of expansion status because of endometrium synchronicity issues. I did PGTA testing and freezing so my clinic let my early blasts and expansion grade 3 blasts go to day 6 so that they'd expand enough for safe biopsy (they ideally want expansion grade 5).

@worldwidetravel2017 that's excellent news for you, complete opposite to my embryo situation. Hope it goes well.

@sirensong thank you...the outlook must not have been great because they predicted that I would very likely lose it if it goes to day 6. To add to that, I had another that was even worse quality and that really was discarded on day 6. My clinic didn't refer to stages 1-6, but from Google I gathered that mine were most likely stage 1-2 and therefore ungraded. Do you mind if I asked you what your outcome was with either your early or expanding blastocyst?

@Ovangegrove on day 5 I had an upgradeable early blast at expansion grade 1/2 and a grade 3BB. They both expanded to 5s on day 6 and came back euploid. I seem not to make day 5 blastocysts but day 6s are fine!
