IVF age 41 low AMH

Hi everyone,

I'm looking for some success stories from some of the older ladies with low AMH and low follicle count! 😬 I am 41 with AMH 1.1pmol/0.14 ngl. I have 3/4 follicles. We are just getting ready to start our 1st round of IVF but so so worried about it not working 🥹💔 looking for some hope and positivity. Xx

I don’t know enough about AMH to give any advice but just wanted to say I wish you lots of luck!
being female and having so much come down to our biological clock when it comes to fertility is hard to swallow isn’t it.

have your clinic not giving you any in depth advice of what to expect, how they fair your chance of success etc?

If it’s any help I have just turned 41 with an AMH of 1.8 and we did our ivf egg collection today. Unsure of how many eggs we got until we get the report back tomorrow, but I only had 6 follicles being tracked on one ovary and 2 on the other on the scan leading up to…. But it only takes one egg, so try not to beat yourself up too much and ask all the questions you can think of at the clinic, I found it helpful to write them down so I didn’t forget anything. hopefully there are also some people on here who have some reassuring experiences for you too xx

Hello, I’m not sure what my AMH is, but I’m 42 and just done our second round of IVF.

Fiest round, we got 4 eggs and only 1 made it to day 5. That cycle failed.

second cycle we got 10 eggs, and again, only 1 made it ru blast.
we were so aware of the age not being in our side, and everything resting on that 1 little blast.
we had our beta test a week ago, and I know it’s really early days, but it appears to have worked and we had a confirmed pregnancy.
Don’t lose hope, and stay as positive as you can. It only takes 1 ❤️ xx

@Angel85 I really hope everything is going well with you. Just wanted to share my story, Im 39 with 1.5pmol amh and about 5-7 follicles, just had my first ivf and ended up with 3 blasts! Im currently 6 weeks pregnant ! Never stop having faith in your body and medical team! Low amh does not mean low quality! Another doctor had given me 15% success rate and encouraged me to think of egg donor. Believe in yourself and miracles can happen ❤️

Aww what a lovely message! Massive congratulations! That's amazing news! Thank you for taking the time to write! Do you mind me asking where you had your treatment? We still haven't started yet! We are at the top of the waiting list with the NHS now but not sure whether to go ahead with them or go private. We have got a consultation booked with evewell next week too. X

Im 40, low egg reserve, hubby has low sperm count, need icsi. Did 2 rounds of ivf, first round no embryos fertilised, second round ended up withn2 blasts one of them being day 6. First embryo didnt work. Currently 5weeks pregnant withna day 6 embryo. I cant say how the outcome will be but for now its worked and going well..
