My partner and I are taking the necessary steps to begin IVF treatment with St. Barts. However, they have said they want us to carry out genetic counselling ahead of treatment. They have said this is non optional as there is Cystic Fibrosis in my family. We are happy to have the counselling, this it does delay treatment. We agreed to seek a private clinic for genetic counselling (Barts have said we can do this). Has anyone else had to do have genetic counselling ahead of treatment? Can you share what exactly we need to evidence to St. Barts? They have been so vague with us and it's impossible to get through to them on the phone.
