Short cycle after failed FET

Just wondering if anyone else has had this? Started my period today and my last cycle was only 24 days! Normally my cycles at 28 days. Hoping to transfer this cycle (natural modified FET) but not sure if the clinic will be happy with my last cycle being so much shorter! Will call them tomorrow.

Wondering if this may have something to do with the cycle before being longer than normal because of the progesterone used for the FET…

Hi @LolaBumble I had this after a failed FET. I usually have pretty short cycles anyway (25 days) but had a 21 day cycle after my FET, I also had a hysteroscopy shortly after so I think my body is just a bit confused what's happening! My consultant wasn't fussed and said with all the hormones etc it's not unusual to have a shorter cycle or different to the norm, and I'm hopefully starting another FET cycle, this time with ivf stims (can't wait) towards the end of May

Ooh thank you so much for your reply that is very good to know! Glad it’s not just me.

That’s interesting your doing it with ivf stims, is there a particular reason why? My clinic have never suggested this for me - only the natural or oestrogen only!

No problem!

I've got thin lining issues, an attempt at a natural cycle with a bit of oestrogen support in Jan got cancelled, then in my FET that went ahead it took 3 weeks on max dose oestrogen to get a not great lining. It was better in my stims cycles so they reckon I dont respond well to oestrogen, and could have better luck making my own to grow my lining that way. I really really hope it works, I've spent this whole year so far on FET attempts and I am really over it

Oh dear sorry to hear about your cancelled and failed FETs, takes up so much time and energy im not surprised you’re over it. Keeping my fingers crossed for you next cycle!!

I’ve also had a cancelled then a failed FET, feeling pretty over it too!

Thank you, you too! It's such a shit process, I really didn't think this stage would be so long and tough...

It’s exhausting isn’t it! Just keep telling myself it will be worth it in the end x
