How soon can FET happen?

Hi

I had my egg collection on Saturday. Due to high estrogen levels, we cannot do a fresh transfer, however my expectation was that we'll be doing a natural FET next month.

At discharge Saturday, the nurse just mentioned the Dr wants to see me on CD 20 of my next cycle to check my lining. No medication / bloodwork in the meantime. I'm very confused about this, because it seems too late to still do the FET?

I'm wondering now if I'll have to wait 2 months for the FET?

Please share any experiences / insights.

Thanks

hiya my clinic wanted to wait for a ‘natural’ cycle in between egg collection and FET so it gives the ovaries and hormones an chance to recover and calm down. Although it is varies clinic by clinic

so my timeline was
EC in Jan
Natural cycle in feb
FET in march

although this didn’t work out for me as I had a cyst in the march cycle so have to wait another month!

wishing you all the best

@Anniekent1 thank you for sharing. I guess that's what's going to happen this month then. It's such a pity about the cyst! All the waiting can really get you down.

Hi @JJB92it was absolutely gutting as just assumed we would go ahead. Although I want it to be in the best environment possible as we only have one embryo so would rather lose a month than lose an embryo.

take the time to recover properly as don’t underestimate what your body has been through. Spend time so that you can be in the best position you can and don’t worry I know exactly how frustrating your feeling so your not alone!

Thank you! I hope you'll be able to do your transfer soon, and that it'll be your lucky one 🌻
