After many, many months of freezing embryos I’m finally doing a FET of a euploid. I’m a little confused by the timings and I feel like my clinic often doesn’t explain properly and dislikes it when I question the “why” we are doing something so perhaps someone here can explain.
I am doing a natural cycle. My LH has started rising this afternoon, so my doc has requested that we do a trigger shot tomorrow early afternoon.
Question 1a. Why are we doing a trigger shot at all if my LH is already naturally rising? Won’t that just double up?
Question 1b. Why are we doing an LH shot tomorrow afternoon if my own LH has started rising this afternoon? Wouldn’t the rise be over by then and I ovulate anyway?
My frozen transfer is scheduled for Tuesday early afternoon, given that I will have a trigger shot on Wednesday afternoon.
Question 2. That’s 6 days, right? Shouldn’t it be transferred on day 5 rather than day 6? I have a mix of day 5 and day 6 embryos and from what I understand they don’t know yet which they would transfer.
Question 3. And finally… can someone give me some hope for my first FET?! All i read here is how people struggle FET after FET, even though the statistics always say that 60-70% chance of live birth with a euploid.
