Estrogen (E2) levels during stims

Hi

Just wondering if anyone know how their E2 progressed during stims.
I'm on CD9 / SD7 today and my estrogen is at 828 pmol/ml. The counted about 12 follicles today and expect my ER to be Saturday.

I have no idea whether the 828 is high or low for this stage, I just know it has to stay below 10000 for the possibility of a fresh transfer, so I'm wondering if anyone has experiences to share?

Thanks

Hi mine were 11000 before I even started and this meant I wasn't allowed to begin in January. Turns out I have a cyst that's chucking out estrogen. They let us start in March but didn't check my levels beforehand. I had 9 days of stims, had my levels checked and they were at 21900, so I had no more stims and triggered on day 10. When they called about my results I was told they expect 7000 to be the highest. I'm not sure if yours would be classed as low or not though 🤔

@Whowhatwhere21 wow that is very high! Could they do a successful egg retrieval after triggering?

I have no idea either. I'm going in again tomorrow, so they'll probably do bloods again.

Yes they went ahead with retrieval. I had 18 collected, 13 fertilised, 10 made it to day 5 but I had OHSS confirmed after retrieval so went for a freeze all and 7 were suitable for freezing but all excellent quality.
My trigger shot contained HCG, I've since read that alot of people have their trigger shot changed to a none HCG one in my situation so I'm not sure why that didn't happen.
From what I read online when looking into my own levels, yours would seem quite low, but obviously I'm not an expert. Have your clinic not said anything to you or shown any concerns about your result?

That's a great outcome, not the OHSS part, but the 7 high grade blastocysts!
No they haven't said anything, but I'll ask tomorrow if they don't say

Yes we are really happy with the 7, we are just in panic mode now for frozen transfer as we've found out estrogen has to be taken! We had no idea about this when agreeing to freeze so now I'm worried my estrogen will still be high and cause more delays.
I would have thought if yours was too low your clinic would have told you when sharing the result with you so id try not to worry about it. Hopefully they can put your mind at rest when you see them tomorrow 🤞🏻 there's a great group on Facebook that have answered a lot of my questions, if your not already on it it may be worth joining and asking on there. It's called 'IVF support UK' , the profile pic is a unicorn

My experience is a bit different. I have diminished ovarian reserve so I only got 1 or 2 eggs per cycle when I last did mine.

I was told that about 1000pmol would indicate a mature egg so my final blood test before the trigger should say that - so maybe 2/3 days before egg collection, if I had 1 follicle growing my E2 should be around 1000 and if I had 2 growing then around 2000 and that would indicate 2 mature eggs likely.. I think anything around 700 plus was meant to be good indication. I'm not sure how those figures work when you've got lots of follicles growing though

Rosiestraws · 16/04/2025 16:55

oh it's interesting what @Whowhatwhere21 says though.. as although she got 13 mature eggs, if the end result was 7 fertilising well, and estrogen level of 7000 then that kind of links to what I was told? Like a "mature egg that's going to fertilise well"? 🤔

JJB92 · 17/04/2025 08:56

That's very interesting @Whowhatwhere21 and @Rosiestraws ! Thank you so much for sharing! It sounds like my previous levels were considered "on the higher side". Took more bloods this morning, but still waiting for the outcome. That will determine whether we go fresh or freeze all
