Waiting game after IVF embryo transfer - anyone else?

Hi all. I had a fresh embryo 5 day transfer on Wednesday grade 4AB. First time doing IVF after 5 years of unexplained fertility. Struggling to stay sane and resist the urge not to test early. Testing day is Easter Bank Holiday Monday. I’ve had some slight cramping since then, and particularly strong cramps on Wednesday night which I am hoping was the embryo starting to implant

Anyone else going through similar and want to keep me company? 😬

Me 2 I am due to test the next day☺️ 🙌 hoping I can hold off also done a fresh transfer day 5. First round for me 2, I’ve had mild cramping for 2 days now but not sure if it’s meds and also a weird throbbing in my lower right side but feels like when I’m ovulating abit confused 😵‍💫

@Hopeloveandkindness all the very best of luck to you, so you are a due behind me and due to test on 22nd? The waiting is awful. I think cramps can be a good sign, I’ve been cramping lots and feel very lethargic. I’ve been testing positive since Monday on a cheap Sainsbury’s, clearblue early detection and a FRER. I’m hoping that it can’t still be the trigger shot at 13 days afterwards, but can’t relax just yet. Plus im stressing about line progression

no not my first round. I had one collection about 8 years ago which allowed me to have 1 fresh and 5 frozen transfers. From that I had one ectopic pregnancy. I then have had 2 rounds in the last 18 months which - unfortunately by this time I had very low amh. Both resulted in 2 eggs being collected and one fertilising on both rounds. I had day 2 transfers both time and had 1 positive which resulted in a chemical pregnancy and the second round was a BFN. This is my last cycle for me as we just can’t put any more money into it but we did get 8 eggs this time. 6 fertilised. 1 was a 4AB blast on day 5 and 1 a compaction and we had both transfered the same day as the embryologist didn’t think any of them would be able to be frozen. Which the next day they did confirm that none of the rest made it so no Frosties.

our test date is the 24th. I’ve had mild cramping like period pain today but apart from that nothing else. It’s such a hard journeys, I really wish everyone gets the good news they are after.

the hardest thing about the two week wait, other than the waiting, I find is knowing what I should or shouldn’t be doing. Should I be resting or can I be going about normal life. I think I’m a bit scared as I had a slow but long walk the day I had the chemical loss. Likely a coincidence but gets you second guessing everything.

Hi yeah il be the 22nd they wanted me to test after 9 days but not sure il be able to!! That’s amazing news getting positives already 🙏🏻🙌 I pray I get to see the two lines when I take mine ☺️ xx

I’ve been the same with knowing what best to do I’m really active normally going to gym and running so I’ve defo took a step back from my normal routine and enjoying the rest and light walks with my pooch ☺️

@Hopeloveandkindness thank you. I know what you mean. I went to the gym daily before this so it’s been hard. However my pooch had puppies 7 weeks ago so her and the 3 puppies have been keeping me both busy and occupied which has been a nice distraction. Hope you are keeping well lovely. Not long until official test day

Hi all!! Just wanted to say good luck to you guys testing tomorrow and the day after! I had my transfer on the 12th and my test date isn’t until the 24th which still seems sooo far away. I have however tested early and I know wish I didn’t as I keep having to buys tests to make sure the line is getting darker. I’ve had 3 losses previously so it’s hard to just take one positive and be on my way haha

Congrats 🙌 I tested today a day early and wish I didn’t ha I got a faint line on a first response but didn’t on the cheap stick tests I bought of Amazon. Waiting until tomorrow to do another on first response and a clear blue my OTD 🙏🏻🤞 wishing you all look for your upcoming test days!!

Congratulations on your positives and faint positives I hope they get darker and stick well.

I caved and tested early for the first time, 7dp 5dt and it’s unfortunately a BFN so I think we are out but will test again in two days just to be sure.

@Hopeloveandkindness how did you get on OTD? Mines tomorrow. I have dark tests but not getting darker just staying the same

I got a positive on clear blue digital and positive on 3 other tests they we’re not very dark il put an image on…. My clinic have classed it as positive and booked a scan on 13th but I’m so nervous it’s a chemical 😢 haven’t tested again going to wait another few days to see if HcG is rising. At my clinic they don’t continue with progesterone following fresh transfers if no history of miscarriage or your not doing FET said my body should take over now so I stopped taking that yesterday and it’s make me so uneasy. I thought getting the test would be a happy time but I’m filled with uncertainty 🫣

it’s hard I’m soo on edge thinking it will turn into a chemical or a miscarriage. I think after having 3 you can’t enjoy a positive at all!
They have taken you off it!! Wow I’ve never heard that before. Can you not go to your GP and see if they will prescribe you some?
I booked a private blood test yesterday as my test was lighter in the kronor so I freaked out. I was 10p5dt and it came back at 310. Have another one booked for tomorrow to see if it’s doubling.
im just worried my tests just aren’t doing anything haha. I also tested with a clear blue today that’s said 1-2.
Ive added my tests too I mean I’ve gone crazy with mine so only added the morning ones haha

Aw they look lovely and dark and congrats on 310 so soon that’s good!! Hopefully it’s just doubled and you know it’s progressing nicely but with them numbers sounds all positive ☺️☺️

yeah I found it strange and challenged it but got no where I’m half thinking in my head maybe they think it’s a chemical and letting it do its thing but might just be my head space at min!!

I think if my period does not come in next few days il book the blood work its 87 from where my clinic don’t offer it xx

@Hopeloveandkindnessoh my god my brain it was 131 not 310 haha I’m all over the place at the moment haha. But yeah hopefully it doubles I got the results back the same day yesterday so will hopefully get them back tomorrow.

Yeah it is very strange like I said I’ve never heard a clinic do that. I doubt that they would do that without any bloods tests so it’s probably just standard procedure for them.
Yeah I would give you some sort of peace of mind knowing where you are with it x

My boobs are sore but that started when I started taking cyclogest haha. Other then that I’ve had bad bloating like I can feel it all the time haha and I keep waking up at 4am and not being able to
go back to sleep haha x
