It’s probably a long shot but looking for anyone who is or has been in the same situation as I can’t find any after a lot of desperate searching.
Me (29F) and my husband (32M) started our first cycle of IVF a couple of weeks ago and yesterday we had our embryo transfer. Everything was looking good on day 3 but by day 5 none had made it to blastocysts.
All we had left was two 8 cell embryos- which were measuring a day behind but from what I can see on the internet it seems that they may be 2 days behind with the cell count? (but of course I’m sure the clinic are more accurate).
Both were transferred as there is still a ‘chance’ but I would love to hear from anyone who has had a transfer of a day 5 8 cell embryo even if it’s a negative result, just so I can get understand my chances and manage my expectations more accurately!
Right now- I’m firmly in the mindset it’s not going to happen and I’m just prolonging the heartache but a small part of me just thinks they wouldn’t have transferred for no reason… but hope is always the killer for me 💔
