Hi, I am having a hsg this month, what was your experience with having it done, was it very sore?
Also, did you have success concieving after it? (I read that the first 3 month after you have a higher chance of concieving) TIA 🙂

Hi @Sunf10wer I've had an HSG and a saline ultrasound scan just looking at my uterus not tubes but similar experience. I found them bit uncomfortable, theres a speculum put in, like in a smear test then once they were douing the saline part i felt occasional cramping. It wasn't loads of fun but was fine, not super painful for me.

I did conceive straight away after my 1st HSG but it was a chemical, and then my 2nd was part of IVF investigations. I had a BFN on my embryo transfer 6 weeks after the saline scan unfortunately but it revealed I still have scar tissue so hoping that was more the issue, have since had a hysteroscopy to remove it

Good luck!

Thank you for your reply, that sounds like it really worked the first time for you. I'm sorry for your loss.

Cramping sounds reasonable enough especially if I have a good result from it. I looked it up about hsg on Google and found a site saying it was worse than childbirth etc, so thought I would get "real" experiences firsthand instead.

Hopefully now they have cleared any scar tissue that you get very good news soon. It's all a waiting game ttc isn't it. @Orangewillow
