BBT OPK Confusion!

I have and have always had very irregular cycles. I have previously in the past been diagnosed with endometriosis but recently had a laparoscopy which came back normal. I believe my hormones are out of whack! I recently have done a blood test which came back fairly normal for lh, fsh, prolactin but basically non existent testosterone. I suspect I have an estrogen dominance but need to get this confirmed

i have been tracking BBT and OPK since December and am on cycle 3. I just can’t get it to work for me. BBT is like Rocky Mountains despite taking it at the same time each day, and I can see my body trying to ovulate on OPK but it never happening. My only ‘normal’ bbt cycle was December which followed normal pattern but I never got a positive OPK. I don’t have many symptoms of PCOS.

I am lost! I’ll post some pics to my cycles if anyone has any insight!

This cycle, I have got my strongest OPKs so far (still not a positive OPK) and had all the signs of ovulation (EWCM, cramping 3 days after the test, and now mild spotting), but no BBT rise Infact it has dropped.

I currently take Angus Castus, starflower oil and evening primrose.

if anyone has any advice on hormones/irregular cycles or can share insight into what the f*ck is going on then I would be so so appreciative!

thank you

(these are from cycle 1 and 2)

Can I ask, what bbt thermometer do you use? Only I can’t get them to work for me either as the readings are erratic. I tested the thermometer and, without changing anything but it being a few seconds later, I get very different readings from one moment to the next. I bought another one in frustration and it’s just the same. Do you have a fancy one? Have you tested it at all?

Oh also, I dont have pcos and my cycles are regular, however my fertility doc (we are going into round 3 ivf) said to take myoinsitol as it supports ovulation regardless of whether you have pcos or not. Though its recommended for pcos.

@Nosejughiya, thank you for replying! I thought the easy@home digital thermometer off Amazon, I am not convinced on its reliability and it’s deffo not fancy! Think it was a tenner. But I find this with all thermometers really. I have heard people get more accurate readings if they temp using down below, but I’m not willing to try that!

have you tried OPKs? I can’t seem to get them to work accurately for me either which makes me wonder if it’s my ovulation that’s the problem due to dodgy cycles or if it is the strips!

ah I will have to try that! I do not feel I am ovulating as have been having high estrogen symptoms all month! The only month I have got my BBT to work was my first month of use

I meant I do not feel like my body is actually ovulating, especially last month as it went on for almost 50 days and I had high estrogen symptoms all month. In fact, I feel like I’m about to ovulate more often than not with high fertility symptoms, but then my body seems to not.
