Euploids

Thank you so much to the lovely ladies who commented on my post. By the time I came to respond, the results were in.
so after three rounds of PGTA- collectively I got 41eggs collected, 30 fertilised - I am left with three day 5 blasts (3AB, 3BB and 3BC) all euploids - I feel devastated that after two years of treatment I only have three embryos to try (they carry a gene my husband has but the hospital can release them as the condition doesn’t impact their life)
we will be doing an FET in the future but can anyone please please give me some hope with what we have. I found out today and I can’t stop crying and feel like I have no hope anymore x I feel like it’s all over for me

I replied on your other thread.

You sent off five embryos and got three back euploid. That is a 60% euploid rate - higher than average for your age group.

If you have three euploids and no known issues with your endometrium or immune system, the success likelihood is usually given as 90-95% across three transfers.

Embryo grade does also influence success - some people wrongly say it's only a beauty contest. However you have two good grades and only one that's a bit lower for the part that would become the placenta.

Hi sirensong- thank you so much for always being so supportive. I got 2 euploids from the last round and 1 from the first round. So 2 out of 5 in this round. I feel so devastated (esp as the three that didn’t have the condition were aneuploid) I feel like the universe is making this so hard and is so unfair. To be honest, I just want to give up but my husband says we are lucky to have three healthy blasts and to try, but I’m just so fed up and I can’t see this happening for us x

@sirensong- also, thank you so much for your positivity- I had higher grade ones but they were abnormal (which is hard) your stats help give me a little hope, just not sure what else I can to make this work x

That's really unlucky it's the euploids that don't have the condition. Are you done with collections now or considering another attempt to get a euploid without the conditon?

You say it isn't life limiting so I hope everything works out well if you transfer what you have.

it’s just been so unlucky the whole time, every single cycle. I know we are luckier than some but this is devastating. I really feel like I’m cursed. I finally get ones without the condition and they are abnormal. The condition just means you have higher risks of cancer later in life so you get more screens but I hoped to give my baby the best start in life. We can’t get pregnant naturally due to MFI and so i have been trying for 4 years, naturally and through this, I had bad OHSS last time so my husband won’t let me try again and to be honest I haven’t got the heart to but I don’t know if I should bother trying a transfer and my luck is so bad, I doubt they would even take x

@mummyofnone I can't tell from your updates if your concern is that the embryos have the gene that you say increases the risk for cancer. And that's why you're not sure if you want to transfer? I could understand that and yes I'd agree it's very unlucky. I'm assuming since you are considering transferring anyway that you had a discussion with a genetic counsellor who determined the risk of the condition developing is very low?
I'm sure you understand that most people only test for euploidy and there can be many genes mutations we don't know about.

Your euploidy rate for your age is excellent though but I get the disappointment about the gene.

For context I had 2 euploids out of 6 blastocysts in round 2. And 0 euploids out of 3 in the first round. I'm 40.

3 is good. I had 2 out of 5 euploids. The rest were complex abnormal. And I’m a bit younger than you. I’ve seen plenty of threads where people got zero euploids. You are in with a good chance with 3 euploids. It’s hard not to worry I think regardless of numbers.

I had very similar with my cycles of IVF a few years ago…had 3 full cycles, 35 eggs in total, 8 very good blasts, had 2 fresh transfers which didn’t work but sent the remaining 6 of for testing and got 3 euploids. The 2nd euploid resulted in our baby boy who is now 2 (I was 39 at the time of IVF then). Just wanted to give you some positivity :-)

We are currently going through IVF again and not even getting past fertilisation
