So I’ve bitten the bullet & arranged a doctors appointment! I’m 35 and we’ve been trying for baby number 2 for 9 months. What should I say?! Do I need to give them my cycle dates or anything? Thank you!

The first appointment is usually just an information session, they will go through history, what you have tried in the past, they will probably send you for some tests and maybe start you on some vitamins or supplements if your not already taking anything.

I really recommend hertility health

Ive used them twice

150 gbp each time .

Really recommended

They are very thorough and fast

And they also include amh / ovarian reserve which nhs dont

You can put your hh results into docs section of nhs record & discuss with nhs gp or nhs gynae

Depending on your health board, they will likely send you away until you've been trying for longer. I went about that same time (age over 35) and she wouldn't do anything until we'd been trying at least a year. So maybe say a year instead of 9 months...!

Next step is taking blood tests at day 3 of your cycle and then at 7 days post ovulation. And then semen analysis for your partner. After those tests are done, they can refer you to the fertility clinic (this is all based on my health board so may vary).

Good luck!
