Lubion injections - does it get better?

Hello ladies.
I am on day 3 of lubion injections and my tummy is so sore. It hurts more if I bend down or touch it but there's a constant ache really...
I am also taking inhixa injections in the evening but those don't seem to cause me issues.
I never had issues with my other ivf injections. This is my first FET so first time on lubion (x2 a day). It's a medicated cycle.

Does your body get used to it? Or does it get progressively worse?

I contacted my clinic to ask whether I could use a numbing cream and arnica and they said it's fine. Tbh it's not so much the pain of the injection but more the pain after. I also read online that arnica cream shouldn't be used in pregnancy so mixed opinions here...

I am already injecting slowly and at a 90° angle. I warmed up the vial once under my armpit but it made no difference. I tried putting pressure and also massaging after injection but I think that made it worse.

Not sure how others have managed these injections until 12 weeks.. If anyone has any tips please let me know as well 🙏

Sorry I've nothing reassuring to say other than I'm in the same boat!! Do you ever get left with a huge raised white mark on your skin? It's not pleasant lol

@BellaRosex ah sorry to hear you're experiencing the same...

I haven't noticed the white marks but I do have lumps under my skin now. I'm assuming that's where the constant soreness comes from...

How long have you been taking them for?
Are you on blood thinning injections also?

Hi, I’ve done 3 FETs all with lubion twice a day so I feel your pain BUT for me always the first week is the worst. Plus a game changer for me was buying a microwave bean bag from amazon which I heated up before injecting and then immediate applied to the area and massaged the skin with it after the injection to disperse the liquid quickly. Doesn’t solve it but definitely took the edge off so the next day was much less sore. Good luck!

Thanks* *@Zypig It's reassuring to hear it gets better 🙂 I used an ice compress pre and post injections last night and that seems to help too. I'm no longer as sore today. It could of course also be my body getting used to it now.
I'll use heat as well if the ice stops helping. Thanks for the tip 🙂

I found the lubion worse than any of the other injections during ivf. I asked if I could do the thigh just to give me tummy a break but I found when I did it in the thigh some of it would leak out so I stuck with the tummy and alternated the injection site. Just to warn you as time went on I found it less sore but it could be harder to find an injection site. If you feel resistance when injecting you are better off taking it out and finding a different spot to inject as I had it leak on me a few times if I injected into one of the hard spots which caused me a lot of anxiety (I was on it for a good few weeks). Good luck with everything.
oh and inject super super slowly I found this helped too.

Thank you @TheIceBear . That's my fear that I'll run out of spots to inject. Using ice though really seems to help as I'm getting less bruising and lumps. Fingers crossed that continues.

@bubu24 i was on it for 10 weeks or something like that. You won’t run out of space. I did have a few leakages here and there but it all was ok in the end. Hope all goes well.
