Hi all,

I wanted to start a thread as I couldn’t find a match to discover or get an understanding what would happen at the first appointment.

My story in short: I have x1 9yr partner has 2 9/15yrs
Both have been trying together for the last 6/9mths.
progesterone levels were 28 we have been referred to gynaecology in April.
what should I be expecting at this appt?
my period are 21-15cycles and regular.
we wouldn’t be eligible for IVF with both having children although separately.
would I be offered fertility medication?

what are the side effects with this?
I also heard an increase risk of twins?

we got pregnant over a yr ago but due to private reasons we decided to terminate which I truly regret.

Depending on your healthboard you will be eligible for different amounts of assessment and treatment. Similarly gynaecology waiting lists vary a lot by area - in ours it's over 2 years!!!

I'm not quite clear from your post - it looks like you are ovulating (progesterone 28 post ovulation), cycles are regular? How old are you and partner?

Both will be 38 this year.

GP mentioned 28 was quite low for ovulation progesterone testing, tested in 2 cycles 28 being the highest.

we are based in the north west UK.

We have been trying almost a year

thankyou for replying x
