Late period after cancelled cycle, is this normal?

My wife and I are hoping to do reciprocal IVF with a mild protocol, unfortunately on day 5 following three days of stims she had a dominant follicle and uneven follicle size. She has a good AFC of 37 and and AMH of 25 so they advised us to cancel and try again next cycle, as if we continued it was likely she wouldn’t get a great result (for her), they said maybe around 5 eggs and they expect much higher with her AFC and AMH. All meds were stopped, she’s now almost a week late for her period with no signs of it coming.

Around ten days after she stopped the Gonal F she had a lot of pain and heavy spotting for a day, we assumed this was her ovulating, so not sure why her period hasn’t come?

Does anyone know if this is normal? She only took Gonal F for three days, no other meds, the clinic advised her cycle shouldn’t be affected, but she’s on day 39 now (32 days is her normal cycle length) and it doesn’t appear to be coming any time soon. Obviously, no chance of her being pregnant as we are both women!

Hi, sorry you’ve had a cancelled cycle, they suck :(. I’ve had a couple of cancelled cycles due to poor/uneven response. My last one got cancelled on day 6 (started stims on day 3). Between the day of cancellation and my next period was 30 days.
The one before was cancelled on day 12 (stims from day 3). Between the day of cancellation and my next period was 23 days.
My normal cycle is more like 26 days in total so these were both long cycles for me.

good luck for your next try!
