3-4 eggs, over optimistic

I'm 34f on day 10 of mild ivf. I've just been told I may only get 3 eggs collected.
I've gone though all the scans and tests, they've never thought I had low egg reserve, so I think i went into this over optimistically.
One of my ovaries has 5 folicles and they're not growing. The other has 9 and only 3 are usable, 1 is a maybe but probably immature.
Has anyone has success with this few eggs? My partner has low motility but we may not need ICSI.

At your age you could definitely have success from 3.

But what is your AMH and what FSH dose are you on? Wondering if your stimulation needs to be higher.

Is there a reason you are doing mild IVF? That could be to do with how you've responded to the medication?

I am 31yo and I've had 2 IVF cycles.
First cycle, 4 eggs collected, 1 blast transfered fresh BFN.
Second cycle, 5 eggs collected. 3 Blasts. Fresh transfer BFN, I'm currently in the 2ww of my first FET. So even with low numbers it is possible to get a few blasts! Good luck! X

@sirensong Thank you, I really hope so!
On my forms it just says "AMH - suitable', there's no number. I have a scan tomorrow morning so I'll ask my clinic.
I'm on gonalF 150 IUs, so it is mild. I asked this in my scan this morning and the nurse said there'll be a doctor in my scan looks tomorrow so they assess more then

@Cesas good luck for your 2WW!!
Also thank you for the reassurance.
Tbh mild is just what my clinic recommended after my scan and bloods. I didn't even question it, was just so grateful to get started!

@StaceySpyro thank you! Oh yeah I totally understand that! They must have made the decision because of your age and amh etc. They always say your first cycle is a bit experimental as they don't know how your body will respond to the medication. They upper mine and it did make a difference. Good luck and hope your appointment goes okay tomorrow x

Not to rain on your parade so to speak but from someone on the shitty side of the table - fewer eggs doesn’t all meant good quality.

I’m 36, poor AMH but was told I’d get a few good quality eggs because of my age being on my side.

Got 4, all mature but total failed fertilisation. Clinic thinks it’s my eggs and not the sperm. Going again and hoping for a miracle but wanted to share my experience as I for one was blind sided when this happened because I was told my eggs would be good and not to worry if only obtain a few.

@StaceySpyro I hope your scan goes well today. On my initial scans before treatment they counted 19 folicals but during stims only 5 developed. I had egg collection yesterday and they only got 3 eggs. They found a large cyst on the outside of my ovaries that wasn't there before treatment so I'm not sure if that had an impact on my folicals growth.

I found out this morning that all 3 of my eggs have fertilised so there is hope with even low initial numbers.

It is hard to compare experiences as everyone's journey and response to treatment is so different. I'm 39 and due to age and previous miscarriage and a molar pregnancy (which might have been linked to an issue with my eggs) we are having pgta testing so I still need to wait until day 5/6 to see if the embryos develop enough for testing but I'm trying to stay positive.
