Third transfer success stories

Hi everyone,

I am about to have our third transfer from our first round of ICSI. The first and second were a fresh and a frozen which both were negative. We are going to do a double transfer this time but I am just wondering if anyone has had success in their 3rd or later transfer where all embryos have been from the same cycle?

I am really worried that since our first do didn’t work none of our embryos from this cycle will and and we will have to do another collection again. I go between being positive about it all but then this is in the back of my mind so just hoping for some positive stories!

Hi, sorry to hear your two transfers didn’t work. This cycle, I’m currently pregnant with our third frozen embryo (DD born from fresh transfer first round in 2022, very lucky). This was our 4th embryo from the same batch, and technically the lower quality one so hopefully that gives you hope.

@Frenchie86 thanks so much for your reply and congratulations on your pregnancy! I just needed to hear that it has happened for someone. Did you do anything differently on your last FET compared to the others?

Of course, and thank you. Keeping everything crossed for you too. The only thing I did differently was adding reflexology but who knows if that made a difference. Otherwise I did the usual healthy diet, plenty of water, no caffeine etc and I’ve always done acupuncture too, including on the day of transfer.

We had an unsuccessful first fresh transfer (none frozen, so end of that try). Then another unsuccessful fresh transfer (miscarriage before I weeks). This time we had 1 frozen embryo and he is now 2 years old.

I had acupuncture while going through both fresh transfers. My lady retired and I didn't want to go to a new person after that. We had a break of 7 months between the 2nd unsuccessful fresh transfer and our successful FET. I wouldn't say I spent those 7 months being particularly healthy. I was miserable and emotional really.
