IVF - taking norethisterone

I've started my IVF journey and been taking norethisterone for the last couple of days, dues to stop on Thursday. They are making me feel really awful, crazy low mood and weird stomach, also not sleeping which probably doesn't help. Has anyone else experienced this? It makes me nervous for when I have to start the injections and how they will make me feel...

I found norithersrone the worst part of the cycle. So much so I won't take it for the next one if I can help it so try not to worry. The stims themselves are not so bad although every person has a different experience

Just take each day and try not to worry. You got this girl!

@Anniekent1 thank you😊 , yeh I'm really not enjoying this feeling at the moment. One more day to take them. I did speak to the nurse today and she was really lovely about it all so that's a plus I guess

Please can I ask, how long did you take norethisterone before starting stims and what day of your cycle did you start them? I'm due to start treatment next month but my period this time is really long, I'm on day 43 currently but hoping to try the pill to regulate my cycle next month ready for treatment x

I took the pills for 9 days and then had a break of 4 days before I started the injections. I can't remember what day of my cycle I started taking them though, maybe 15 or 21? I had my egg collection last Friday and my head is still all over the place and a bit overwhelmed with everything!

@YourBusyZebra thank you for replying!! I'm going to ask the question to my clinic to take them next month I can't cope with another cycle like this before starting stims!
It is so overwhelming isn't it! The whole process is!! I'm starting round 2 and it's taken me over a year to get to the point where I feel ready to go again. Look after yourself and I hope for a positive outcome for you 💕
