Progesterone blood test timing for FET

Does anyone know what day your clinic does the progesterone level blood test during the FET process? Even better if you used Care Fertility. I've an awful feeling we're going to be away when this needs to be next cycle! (Waiting on nurse consultation but thought I'd get an idea from MN first). Thanks in advance!

Hi Op, mine was done the day of the FET in the morning - CRGH

Following this, as I'm planning my first FET at Care at my next cycle. Also waiting for the nurse planning.

Mine was done on FET day, too. Just couple hours before the procedure and they had results for the transfer.

sorry to jump on the thread but my clinic does not test progesterone levels before FET and just say they will be high enough because of the pessaries. Has anyone had the blood test and their levels been too low to proceed? Thanks

GingerFox2021 · 31/05/2025 18:24

@TSHconfusion actually mine was extremely low 7.7 and they wanted at least 35. I was on 2 x 400 mg Cyclogest at that time, so the dr was surprised it was so low. I also felt it leaked a lot, maybe that’s why. After the transfer they put me on extra Cyclogest plus daily injections to raise it immediately.

@GingerFox2021 thanks for sharing your experience this is my worry that I wouldn’t know if it was low! I take 3 pessaries a day but you just never know. My clinic did say they think I would have bled early if it was low but I’m just not convinced

Mine was the day of the transfer a few hours beforehand (via Uclh and crgh). Though it was a bank holiday weekend so didn’t get results until 4 days post transfer - thankfully they were high enough
