2 day embryo transfer

I had egg collection yesterday and got 11 eggs to my surprise. Only one fertilised. I'm devastated. The clinic want to do a 2 day transfer tomorrow. Anyone out there with a success story with a 2 day embryo? Thanks

Maybe they feel little embryo would have as much chance inside you, instead of outside? No answers sorry as never made it that far but I know how upset you are I didn’t not want to reply.

I’ve had a 2 day transfer, so it’s not unheard of. My clinic said the main reason for waiting was to see which embryo developed best and therefore should be transferred. Like you, I only had one so there was no need to wait. I think there is something in what the poster above said as well, it is better in the natural environment. So try to stay positive. I’m so sorry, I can only imagine how hard it must be. I’m on my third cycle (and had the most devastating experiences both times for different reasons) and I’m so sick of feeling like Iv lost a baby (a baby I never had) 4 years of this shit and it just gets harder.

Not sure what happened and don’t want to say anything cliche or make you upset but keep your head up and keep going… I really really hope you have your beautiful baby and am sending so much love to you xx

It’s horrible, I’m sorry. I had many failed rounds and disappointments, hoping your clinic have some answers as to why things have happened this way and things to change in future.
