Calcium ionophore - any experiences?

Hi, I am starting my 2nd round of IVF after quite a poor first one where only 1 out of 11 mature eggs fertilised, sadly it didn't make it past day 3.

Has anyone had Calcium Ionophore as part of their treatment? Wondering if it improves fertilisation?

We had 70% fertilisation (of mature eggs) with ICSI and calcium ionophore for both cycles. We used it from the beginning so can't say what it would have been like without it.
My consultant strongly recommended it and it's not that expensive so I'd say go for it and best of luck with your 2nd cycle!

Yes! Was a game changer for us! We went from 0 fertilisation out of 12 eggs to 13 fertilise out of 18. We made 7 blasts, sadly no pregnancy but if we’re to do ivf again we would use it! Good luck x
