Fed Up of Patches

Just want to have a quick moan about Everol patches. I'm on a lot of things at the moment (in the midst of the tww from an FET) and I can handle the 3x a day pessaries and the 4x a day pills and just about managing the up and the down of it all but the patches are just PISSING me off!

I've been on them for 18 days and I hate them.

I hate the awkwardness of sticking them on on your back, I hate the feel of them under my clothes, I hate the way they look on me, I hate the sting of peeling them off and I HATE the glue. I hate the way it leaves marks all over and it irritates my skin when I try and get it off.

Please say some of you agree and maybe have advice for managing better, they are driving me up the wall.

Hi, honestly I don’t have any better way of managing it so just to say I feel your pain, I’ve used them for multiple FETs and they give me a rash every time. Only ‘management’ I have ever worked out is circulating where I put them on my bum to give the skin a rest and keeping them below the waistline to avoid the top of my trousers. One warning, one of the nurses said I could use baby oil to get the glue off - my god worse rash ever, big mistake 😭. Hope it doesn’t go on too much longer for you!

Ohhh thank you @Zypig it means a lot that its not just me 😅and thank you I will stay away from baby oil! I used a cucumber makeup wipe this morning and it didnt help get the glue off but was at least soothing lol.

Honestly appreciate this, hope you're doing ok whatever stage you're at now? xx

I thought it was just me having trouble with them. I don't mind sticking them on my outer thigh but omg on my back has been mission impossible doesn't matter where I try and stick it. I think I've had only one morning where I stuck it and it stayed the whole day. I've had to use tape to tape it down! It's horrible.

Have you tried putting tattoo protective film over your patches? It's this thin sticky membrane. That's what I do and find the patches stay, are less itchy and I then have less issues with the glue from the patches (mine have to be on for two days).

@Sherr33 ah sorry you’re finding it tough too! Thigh sounds way better, does it not matter where they go then? I’ve been religiously putting it in the same zone (well swapping sides) as where the nurse put it which is like very low back just below pant line, but if I can whack it somewhere I can see it would be a huge improvement .

@Dorcaz thanks for the trick! Where can you get it from? I have mine for 2 days too 😟do you know if we have to keep going if we get a BFP?

Ok thanks @Dorcaz ! I've just emailed the clinic to ask, it probably makes sense for it to be 12 weeks too 😭

I'm on my medication till I'm 12 weeks. Thank you for the amazon link 😀
I alternate between the two areas. But the back one is just the worst and most annoying. I was just shown those two areas and haven't really looked to see if I could place them anywhere else tbh
