Gonal F pen issues - help!

I have to take a dose of 150 gonal F. I have the 450 pens, so each pen should have three doses in. I dialled a new pen last night to 150. When I dialled it to 150 tonight, it showed 82.5 afterwards, meaning I hadn't had the full dose and needed to open a new pen.

I'm so worried that the pen gave me an "overdose" last night. I definitely dialled it correctly (it's my fourth round of ivf so I'm used to using them and I know I didn't make a mistake). Has anyone ever had this happen to them? I'm wondering of there was an error with the actual pen (like it was underfilled or gave me more than ot should have according to the dose I set). I'm on a natural modified ivf cycle so I'm just so worried it may have overstimulated me very early on in my cycle.

Thanks in advance x

@GingerRCD what makes you think you overdosed? It sounds like you rectified the problem by taking 82.5 from the second pen? Xx

@Eagerlywaiting1990 thanks for your reply. I think I overdosed on the first night - I used a new pen and dialled to 150, it went to 0 after I used it. When I used the same pen on night 2 (it should have had 300 still in it), it went to 82 after injecting (which it shouldn't have done as that pen should have had enough for 3 night's use). X

Ah sorry, I get what you mean now. Can ypu contact your clinic for guidance? I'm sure you won't be the first or last for this to have happened. I know how anxiety provoking this whole thing is without having more worries added to the mix. Hopefully they can offer you some reassurance xx

Thanks so much @Eagerlywaiting1990. You're so right - we don't need things like this on top of all of the other anxieties that go with this!

In case it's useful to others coming across this post, I explained what had happened to the clinic and they said sometimes there will be faulty batches from the manufacturer and that I wouldn't have "overdosed". They took the box to contact the manufacturer and gave me a new one free. Also, the scan was as expected for this stage of my cycle. X

@GingerRCD that's great news...exactly what you were needing to hear. All the best with your cycle! Xxxx
